Handcrafted Reclaimed Wood Cajon Drum - Made in the U.S.A
Smooth Satin Finish!
A cajon drum is a six sided, box-shaped percussion instrument originally from Peru, played by sitting on the top and slapping the front or rear faces with the hands, fingers, or sometimes various implements such as brushes, mallets, or sticks.
The majority of this instrument is constructed from reclaimed avocado wood with a historic past.
This 40+ year old tree served its original life as an Avocado tree in a California grove. It supplied America with Hass Avocados for decades. Not normally used for instruments, this rare Avocado wood has beautiful character.
