History
Prior to bourbon barrels being made, the white oak boards are air dried for about six months.
Straight bourbon is matured a minimum of two years in the barrel.
When the barrels are no longer suitable for holding liquid, they are retired.

Each chess board will vary with rustic character and tone. Scratches, chips, cracks, and scuffs are normal.
